Title: Lullington Church
Description: Described in his childhood autobiographies by the actor, Dirk Bogarde, the church at Lullington is set in an isolated position in the South Downs, overlooking Alfriston and the River Cuckmere. Accessed by a path from the village, the church dates from the twelfth century and is said to be the smallest in England. Measuring only 16 feet (5 metres) square, the church is really only the chancel of a previously much larger church.
