Title: St Mary's, Rye
Description: Built in around 1220, the church contains a turret-clock with an 18-foot (5.5 metre) long pendulum that hangs inside the church. Flanked by two quarter-boys, the clock was built in Winchelsea in 1560 and is said to be the oldest of its kind in England. The tower is sometimes open and provides fantastic views across Rye.
